Counselling/ Talking Therapy

One-to-One Confidential Talks & Group Chats

There are many reasons people may choose to have counselling. Worries and stress can quickly take over our minds and totally overwhelm us.

By having counselling, it does not mean that you are weak - as our society moves forward, people are realising that mental health is just as important as physical health. You would not feel weak going to a doctor, and this is no different.

We can cover whatever is concerning you, but the most common topics include:

- Suicide & Self-harm
- Bereavement
- Stress & Anxiety
- Resilience in Work & Life
- Self-esteem
- Depression
- Returning to work

- Dealing with traumatic Experiences

By talking about our concerns, we can increase our mental wellbeing.

There are many benefits to us of having good mental health.

These include:

- Reduced risk of depression,

- Increased self-esteem,

- Reduced anxiety,

- Improved moods,

- Clearer thinking,

- Improvements in relationships,

- A greater sense of calm.

You may prefer one type of counselling more than another, and it is personal preference for which one you choose.

If you are unsure which one is best for you, then please get in touch and I will be on-hand to help you to decide.

All sessions are fully confidential. However, there will be times when confidentiality cannot be maintained

(this includes if someone is at risk of harm to themselves or others).

Please see our confidentiality policy on the 'Policies' tab for more details.
